Rogue and mischievous, Women re-imagined

Not simply pictures of beautiful women, these artworks are metaphors of youth, both stark and tender, rogue and mischievous, with fluttery eyelashes and wry poses. Today’s young artists are sharp, dimensional, highly self-aware, driven by equal parts confidence and frustration. These works unapologetically confront stereotypes. Instead of overtly sexual objects, women are motifs of young philosophers, part of an ongoing study of what it means to live in the digital age. They are the personages of today. Through clever use of techniques like humor, satire and tropes they unflinchingly anatomize what it’s like to live in this world of travel, change and doubt.
